Wizards to Sign Skal Labissiere to 10-Day Contract
Washington is using its open roster slot to evaluate the G League standout ahead of the trade deadline.
Overview
- The 10-day pact is expected to run through Feb. 5 and could be ended early if the Wizards need the spot for a deadline move.
- If finalized before tonight’s game against Portland, Labissiere could be available for up to six games during the deal.
- Washington can add him without a corresponding move because it has an open 15-man spot after a recent two-for-one trade for Trae Young.
- Labissiere has excelled for the Capital City Go-Go, averaging 19.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.5 blocks with .554/.441/.857 shooting in 26 games.
- The contract would pay $153,330 with a $131,970 cap hit, and the 2016 first-round pick last appeared in the NBA on a 10-day with the Kings in March.
