Vail Resorts Launches 2026–27 Epic Pass With 20% Discount for Ages 13–30

The pricing push targets Gen Z to build long-term participation under returning CEO Rob Katz.

Overview

  • Sales opened Tuesday with the full Epic Pass at $1,089 for adults and $869 for ages 13–30, while Epic Local is $809 for adults over 30 and $649 for younger buyers.
  • Early purchasers receive 10 Epic Friend Tickets that provide 50% off lift tickets, and they can be applied for 25% off child tickets.
  • Visitors who bought a 2025/26 lift ticket at any of Vail’s 37 North American resorts can take up to $175 off select 2026/27 passes, lowering the youth Epic to $694 and the Epic Local to $474.
  • Epic and Epic Local passes offer season-long access to a wide network including Vail Mountain, Whistler Blackcomb, Park City Mountain and Breckenridge.
  • Rob Katz says the youth discount is a long-term investment in future skiers and riders, with early-bird prices at their lowest now and increases typically coming later in spring and again in September.
