Overview
- Around 4 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in the left thigh near the 7700 block of North Paulina Street, and officers applied a tourniquet before he was transported.
- Witnesses told police the teen had a gun, returned fire, and that someone removed his weapon before officers arrived, while an officer estimated about 30 shell casings and noted limited cooperation.
- At approximately 6:15 p.m., two 19-year-old men were shot while sitting in a black Toyota Sienna in the 6100 block of North Rockwell Street.
- Police reported one victim was wounded in the knee and the other was shot in the arm with a graze to the abdomen, and both went to the hospital in good condition.
- No arrests have been announced, and witnesses in the Rockwell shooting said the gunman fled on a Lime scooter and provided a physical description to investigators.
