Trooper Released After I-95 Cruiser Crash as Driver Is Charged

A court summons for the identified driver follows state police plans for a full crash review.

  • Police say the trooper had stopped with emergency lights on to remove a ladder from the left lane of I-95 South in Salisbury when his cruiser was struck from behind.
  • The trooper was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious injuries and has been released to recover.
