Tony Stewart Returns for Daytona Truck Opener in Kaulig’s No. 25 Ram

The NASCAR Hall of Famer launches Ram’s rotating Free Agent seat as the brand re-enters the Truck Series with a five-truck Kaulig program.

Overview

  • Stewart, 54, will drive Kaulig’s No. 25 Ram in the Feb. 13 Craftsman Truck Series opener at Daytona, his first NASCAR national start since 2016 and first Truck race since 2005.
  • The Daytona entry debuts Ram’s Free Agent program, a rotating seat designed to showcase veteran stars and emerging talent as part of the manufacturer’s return.
  • Kaulig will field five Ram trucks in 2026, with full-time rides for Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, Daniel Dye and Justin Haley, plus the Free Agent truck and a seat awarded via the Race For The Seat competition.
  • A three-time Cup champion with 49 Cup wins and two Truck victories, Stewart has never previously raced a truck at Daytona despite 19 wins there in other series.
  • Executives from Stellantis and Kaulig framed Stewart’s participation as a one-off, fan-focused launch for the program, with no additional NASCAR starts for him currently announced.
