Overview
- The Met Office’s yellow thunderstorm warning covered much of England and Wales on Sept. 4 from 2 a.m. to 5 p.m., with forecasters citing 30–60 mm of rain in an hour plus hail and frequent lightning.
- The Environment Agency issued flood alerts in advance, noting England had just seen its wettest week in seven months and reporting rising river levels in multiple catchments.
