Overview
- The 10-track Peaches! is the band’s 14th studio album and leans on blues and rock covers associated with George Thorogood, R.L. Burnside, Arthur ‘Big Boy’ Crudup and Dr. Feelgood.
- Lead single You Got To Lose, a take on a 1977 George Thorogood track tracing back to Earl Hooker, arrived with an E. J. McLeavey-Fisher–directed video shot at Memphis juke joint Hernando’s Hide-A-Way.
- Sessions were recorded live in one room with minimal overdubs, marking the first time since Magic Potion (2006) that Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney handled the mix themselves.
- Auerbach describes the project as a cathartic outlet that began as informal jams during his father’s illness, with the material captured quickly and intentionally left raw.
- Tour plans include New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 1, a July 17 St. Paul date at Harriet Island, late-August stops at Rock en Seine and Victorious, and London shows on August 31 (Eventim Apollo) and September 1 (O2 Academy Brixton).
