Texas Left Tackle Trevor Goosby Announces Return for 2026 Season

The first-team All-SEC lineman chose further development over entering the NFL Draft.

Goosby confirmed his decision Sunday on Instagram after the Houston Chronicle’s Kirk Bohls first reported the news.
Many evaluators, including ESPN’s Mel Kiper, projected him as a top-tier or first-round prospect for April’s NFL Draft.
In 2025 he earned first-team All-SEC honors and, per PFF, allowed three sacks across 775 regular-season snaps while protecting Arch Manning’s blind side.
His return secures continuity at left tackle for Texas as the Longhorns retool an offensive line expected to replace both starting guards.
The move also sets up a year on campus with his younger brother Austin, a consensus five-star basketball signee.
