Texas A&M Promotes Bryant Gross-Armiento to Cornerbacks Coach

Head coach Mike Elko announced the promotion Thursday, elevating last season’s nickels coach to lead the cornerbacks for 2026.
The opening followed Jordan Peterson’s departure from College Station to become Kansas State’s defensive coordinator.
Under Gross-Armiento, A&M’s pass defense improved from 90th nationally in 2024 to 16th in 2025.
His A&M tenure includes stints as defensive analyst (2021–22), secondary coach (2023) and senior defensive analyst before coaching the nickelbacks in 2024–25.
He previously worked at Georgia and began his career at Wake Forest, and he is credited with developing Jaylon Jones, Antonio Johnson and Tyreek Chappell; beat writer Tony Catalina first reported the elevation.
