Overview
- The attacks unfolded between about 8:30 p.m. and just after 11 p.m. in West Lawn, Clearing, West Woodlawn and Belmont Cragin.
- The West Lawn victim, identified as 45-year-old Carlos Navarro Perez, was shot in the head and pronounced dead after being taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
- In Clearing, a 43-year-old driver was grazed in the head on West 63rd Place and was treated at MacNeal Hospital before being released.
- A 15-year-old boy in West Woodlawn was shot in the abdomen and arm and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in fair condition, and two men, 21 and 18, were wounded in Belmont Cragin and taken to Saint Mary of Nazareth in good condition.
- Police say a black vehicle was reported at several scenes, have not confirmed the shootings are connected, and report no arrests as the investigation continues.
