Overview
- Australia open the season with three ODIs from September 24–30 before Tests in Durban, Gqeberha and Cape Town from October 9–31, with Newlands hosting their first Test there since the 2018 ball‑tampering scandal.
- Bangladesh undertake an all-format tour: Tests at the Wanderers and Centurion on November 15–19 and 23–27, followed by ODIs in East London, Gqeberha and Cape Town (December 1–7) and T20Is in Kimberley, Benoni and Centurion (December 10–13).
- England conclude the summer with three Tests over the holiday period in Johannesburg (December 17–21), Centurion (Boxing Day), and Cape Town (January 3–7), then three ODIs on January 10, 13 and 15 in Paarl and Bloemfontein.
- The proposed England T20I series is postponed because of a clash with the SA20 league, with both sides exploring a later window.
- The eight home Tests (3 vs Australia, 2 vs Bangladesh, 3 vs England) count toward the 2025–27 World Test Championship, a renewed emphasis after South Africa staged no home Tests in 2025/26.
