  • Crew teams located the damaged fiber at Fifth and Filbert in West Oakland and spliced the cable overnight, with service restored at about 4:29 a.m. Monday.
  • AC Transit and Muni ran bus bridges across the Bay Bridge, yet riders reported hours-long waits and crowded lines at locations including the Salesforce Transit Center.
  • BART says the outage was the second recent fire-related cable failure this month, following a Feb. 14 incident that temporarily closed South Hayward Station.
