ROWE BMW Wins Nürburgring Endurance Cup After FCY Pit Shuffle

Steward rulings after qualifying handed the No. 98 pole before the start.

Augusto Farfus, Jesse Krohn and Raffaele Marciello converted the No. 98 BMW’s pole into victory, delivering ROWE Racing its first Endurance Cup win since last year’s Paul Ricard.
A Full Course Yellow during the second pit window, triggered by contact between the No. 99 Audi and No. 74 Ferrari, allowed the No. 98 to pit under caution and cycle into the lead for the restart.
Winward Racing’s No. 48 Mercedes-AMG finished second, with Rutronik Racing’s No. 96 Porsche third after the No. 64 Ford Mustang received a 10-second penalty for a late FCY infringement.
Team WRT’s No. 32 BMW lost pole to a five-place grid penalty for contact with the No. 17 Mercedes-AMG in qualifying, while AF Corse’s No. 50 Ferrari and Garage 59’s No. 59 McLaren were also docked five places for separate incidents.
Qualifying featured heavy contact as Charles Weerts hit Jules Gounon, sending the No. 17 Mercedes-AMG into the wall, and an earlier collision between Antonio Fuoco and Paul Evrard eliminated the No. 50 Ferrari; Saturday’s pre-qualifying had already been cut short for curb repairs.
