Overview
- Esterson and 17-year-old Johnson are named full-season drivers in the No. 59 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo for IMSA’s GTD Pro class.
- McLaren factory driver Dean MacDonald and Juri Vips join the pair for the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona.
- All four will make their Rolex 24 debuts, and for Johnson and Vips it will be their first competitive sports car races.
- RLL ran the GT3 Evo for the first time at November’s Daytona test with Esterson, MacDonald and Vips, while Johnson had yet to drive the car.
- Johnson will also race the full 2026 Indy NXT season with Cape Motorsports, and both full-season drivers are reported to be bringing funding to the program.
