Overview
- Traffic surveillance video posted Wednesday shows a theft at a Chino intersection involving a boxed-in commercial truck.
- The break-in occurred at 4:48 p.m. on Feb. 20 at Central Avenue and Chino Hills Parkway, police said.
- A car and a white van positioned in front of and behind the truck as suspects cut the trailer lock and removed computer equipment.
- With help from a witness and the department’s Real-Time Crime Center, officers tracked the van onto the westbound 60 Freeway and stopped it on an on-ramp.
- Two people were arrested, identified as residents of Los Angeles and Cudahy, and officers recovered burglary tools and about $7,000 in stolen goods that were returned to the company.
