Police Release Suspect Images After Glenville Grocery Robbery Shooting

Police are hoping citizen tips will help them identify the suspect in the Sunday morning grocery store shooting.

  • Officers from the Fifth District responded just after 8 a.m. Sunday to a report of a robbery-related shooting at the Save A Lot on Superior Avenue in the Glenville neighborhood.
  • Surveillance footage released by authorities shows a suspect described as a Black man wearing a gray hoodie, jeans, light-colored shoes and a black mask who was carrying a light-colored bookbag and a handgun.
  • The 39-year-old woman who was shot during the attempted robbery remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
  • Investigators have not made an arrest, and the Cleveland Division of Police is appealing for community cooperation to help identify the fleeing suspect.
