Police Recover Fingerprints as Probe Deepens in Sangeeta Bijlani’s Burgled Farmhouse

  • The burglars made off with ₹50,000 cash and one television set valued at about ₹7,000, while vandalising a second TV and other household items.
  • Lonavala Rural Police filed an FIR on July 19 under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and deployed two specialized teams to spearhead the investigation.
  • A forensic unit has seized the CCTV DVR and recovered two suspicious fingerprints that are now under analysis to establish the intruders’ identities.
