PokéPark KANTO Opens at Yomiuriland as First Permanent Outdoor Pokémon Park

Weeks of sold-out tickets signal intense interest in the park’s attractions.

Overview

  • The outdoor facility opened Feb. 5 inside Yomiuriland on the TokyoKawasaki border and is operated by PokéPark KANTO LLC, a joint venture of The Pokémon Co., Yomiuri Land Co., and The Yomiuri Shimbun.
  • Covering about 2.6 hectares, the park is split between the Pokémon Forest walking route and Sedge Town, with more than 600 Pokémon figures, live shows and themed rides.
  • Tickets are being distributed by lottery or first-come sales with dynamic pricing, including the Ace Trainer’s Pass from 14,000 yen and the Trainer’s Pass from 7,900 yen for visitors aged 13 and older.
  • A Town Pass starting at 4,700 yen will debut in May for town-only access, children under 3 can enter the town without tickets, and all passes include Yomiuriland admission.
  • Early access constraints include a requirement to climb 110 steps to reach the woodland area and a minimum age of 5 to enter the forest, with additional safety rules in place.
