- Investigators were alerted on June 12 after a woman discovered a covert camera in an Ocean City boardwalk restroom and reported it to police.
- Subsequent searches uncovered concealed recording devices in bathrooms at 6th, 10th and 11th streets along the boardwalk.
- A task force comprising Ocean City Police, Philadelphia Police special victims detectives, Homeland Security agents and a Pennsylvania attorney general K9 unit built the case.
- Search warrants executed on Perkins’s home and vehicle in the 4200 block of Glenview Street yielded further evidence.
- Perkins was arrested in Tacony on June 20 and is now detained in Pennsylvania pending extradition.
