Overview
- The collapse occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Jefferson Street near Central Avenue and trapped two men, ages 47 and 40, in a caved-in trench, according to FDNY and police.
- Both workers were taken to Kings County Hospital, where the 47-year-old was pronounced dead and the other was listed in critical but stable condition.
