Oakland Police Open Homicide Investigation After Lake Merritt Shooting Victim Dies

Police are seeking public tips, photos or video to aid the probe into the pre-dawn Sept. 27 attack.

  • Officers responded around 3 a.m. on Sept. 27 to the 1300 block of Lakeshore Avenue and found evidence of a shooting but no victim at the scene.
