Overview
- Police arrested 26-year-old Naya Brown at her Bronx home on March 3 and charged her with murder in the Jan. 25 killing of Keon Gill.
- Brown’s arrest follows the Feb. 1 murder arrest of 37-year-old Pernell Warren, who was ordered held without bail after arraignment.
- According to law-enforcement sources, Brown acted as a spotter inside the bar and Warren served as the getaway driver, while the suspected shooter has not been found.
- The shooting occurred just before 3 a.m. near West 242nd Street and Broadway in Riverdale; Gill, 44, was shot in the chest and died at St. Barnabas Hospital, and his 35-year-old brother was wounded.
- Gill was celebrating his 44th birthday and was a father of four, and the Education Department did not immediately comment on Brown’s arrest.
