- New York has halted all DMV operations from Friday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. through Tuesday, Feb. 17, with offices and online and phone services set to resume Wednesday, Feb. 18.
- Colorado’s DMV systems are offline through the holiday weekend, with online services expected to return Tuesday and many in-person counters reopening later in the week.
- Denver DMV locations will stay closed Tuesday and Wednesday for staff training, and counties statewide will manage their own reopening timelines.
- During the outages, in-person, online, phone and kiosk services are unavailable, pausing driver’s license transactions, vehicle registrations, certain voter registrations, business filings naming an individual registered agent, disability placards, replacement titles and plate requests.
- New York is migrating about 30 million records as part of the first phase of a multi-year overhaul, with a second major upgrade planned for 2028.
