More Survivors Contact Detectives in Multi-State Probe of CNA Accused of Patient Assaults

• Santa Barbara County officials say multiple new survivors came forward after they publicized allegations against Kayode Agbolade Ogunba, 61.
• He was arrested on Jan. 20 in the Los Angeles area on a Santa Barbara County warrant and remains in the county’s Main Jail on $100,000 bail.
• He faces multiple felony counts including sexual penetration, lewd acts by a caretaker against a dependent person involving force, and elder abuse, plus a misdemeanor sexual battery charge.
• The case began after a Goleta care home on South Patterson Road reported two patient assaults in November, and LAPD is separately investigating an alleged assault in Los Angeles.
• Detectives confirmed he worked as a CNA via temp agencies in Washington, Texas, Pawnee County in Kansas, and Glendora, California, and they released his booking photo with tip lines as some may know him as “Kay.”
