Mews Acquires DataChat to Accelerate Agentic AI for Hotels

The U.S. AI firm’s conversational analytics will be folded into Mews’ platform to power agents across core hotel functions.

Overview

  • Mews completed the purchase through Mews Ventures for an undisclosed sum.
  • DataChat’s platform lets users query business data in natural language to generate insights, workflows and predictive models without coding.
  • Mews says the integration will speed development of autonomous and semi-autonomous agents for reservations, distribution, operations, revenue optimization and guest experience.
  • Founder Richard Valtr framed the move as a shift toward systems that learn from each interaction, while DataChat CEO Viken Eldemir said the agents will understand intent and act across data sources.
  • The deal is Mews’ third acquisition of 2025 after Clarity and Flexkeeping, following a $75 million funding round led by Tiger Global to support expansion in Europe and the United States.
