- Powered by a revised 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with mild-hybrid assist, the GLC 53 delivers 443 hp and 443 lb-ft, with brief overboost to about 472 lb-ft.
- The model debuts in both SUV and Coupe forms with a nine-speed automatic, fully variable all-wheel drive, standard rear-axle steering and adaptive dampers.
- An optional AMG Dynamic Plus package adds launch control, Drift Mode that enables rear-drive only, and an electronically controlled rear limited-slip differential.
- Mercedes-AMG cites a 0-60 mph time of about 4.1 seconds with the performance package, with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph or 167 mph when optioned.
