Lincoln Square McDonald’s Robbed by Masked Gunmen, Police Establish Perimeter

Chicago officers are combing the area after the holdup with detailed descriptions of two suspects

  • On July 26 around 3:40 p.m., two masked men armed with guns entered the McDonald’s at 4844 North Lincoln Avenue, held employees at gunpoint and fled on foot with cash.
  • A 911 caller reported seeing two individuals raising their hoodies in an alley south of Lawrence and Campbell just before they walked toward the restaurant.
  • Police describe the suspects as two young White or Hispanic males wearing black hoodies with white writing, black gym shoes and differing pant colors.
  • Officers established a search perimeter bounded by California Avenue, Ainslie Street, Washtenaw Avenue and Lawrence Avenue and advised residents to avoid the area.
  • Multiple sightings have been reported but no arrests have been made as detectives from Area Three follow up on leads.
