Koei Tecmo Restructures Team Ninja: One Division Moves to Gust as Others Split

Overview

• Effective April 1, 2026, Team Ninja’s Division 1 will transfer to Gust and be renamed Gust Division 2.
• Kohei Tecmo confirmed that Team Ninja’s remaining division will be split to form a new Team Ninja Division 1 alongside a reconstituted Division 2.
• The transferred team previously handled Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation and co-developed Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator.
• Yasunori Sakuda will continue to lead the transferred group at Gust, while Nioh producer Kohei Shibata will head the new Team Ninja Division 1.
• Koei Tecmo will also rename IP Business to Global IP Business and Marketing Division to Global Marketing Division, and it will establish a new Business Division.
