Kelce posted that years in the NFL have left him with weak ankles and said standard golf shoes no longer provide the stability he needs.
In a YouTube video titled “Golf Shoes Suck, So I Made My Own,” he documented building golf boots with South Philadelphia’s Dom the Cobbler.
He and his team retrofitted nine boot styles—including Timberlands, hiking, dress, and wrestling boots—with golf soles and spikes.
Testing at McCall Golf Club produced mixed results, with some boots performing well and at least one scoring poorly.
Kelce also noted lingering limitations from past injuries and announced he will join the commentary team for the final three TGL regular-season matches on ESPN.
