Jacob Abel Joins Era Motorsport for IMSA Endurance Cup in LMP2

Overview

• The 24-year-old will drive Era Motorsport’s #18 ORECA 07-Gibson across the five Michelin Endurance Cup rounds at Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Road America, and Road Atlanta.
• For the Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 24–25, he will share the car with Naveen Rao, Ferdinand Habsburg, and Logan Sargeant.
• Abel said he is excited for the move and acknowledged efforts to continue in IndyCar did not materialize for 2026.
• The switch aligns with his current Asian Le Mans Series program with Vector Sport RLR, where he made his competitive LMP2 debut in Sepang in December.
