ISKCON Mysuru Sets Jan. 24 Sri Krishna–Balarama Ratha Yatra, Announces Route and Guests

Organisers expect large devotee turnout with extensive prasadam distribution.

Overview

  • The procession will be inaugurated at the Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the Mysore Palace North Gate between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
  • The chariot will traverse Gandhi Square, Sayyaji Rao Road, Dufferin Clock Tower and adjoining corridors before concluding at ISKCON Temple, Jayanagar at 8:30 pm with Aarti and Sankirtan.
  • City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar is slated as chief guest, with former MLC G. Madhusudan as guest of honour and Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa presiding.
  • Organisers estimate prasadam distribution to about 40,000 people during the journey and roughly 10,000 dinner plates at the conclusion.
  • Devotees are expected from Bengaluru, Hubballi, Chitradurga, Ballari, Chennai, Guwahati, Vizag and other cities, continuing a tradition ISKCON Mysuru has upheld for 27 years.
