- CBIC amended the 2022 postal export regulations and updated RoDTEP and RoSCTL notifications to include electronic postal exports.
- Benefits under Duty Drawback, RoDTEP and RoSCTL are now claimable for postal consignments cleared through the customs automated system with effect from January 15, 2026.
- New Postal Bill of Export formats were notified: PBE‑III for e-commerce parcels and PBE‑IV for other postal exports, enabling automated processing of claims.
- Electronic postal export entries have been accorded parity with shipping bills, with expanded disclosures and explicit intent and record-keeping declarations under the Customs Audit Regulations, 2018.
- The move leverages 28 Foreign Post Offices, more than 1,000 Dak Niryat Kendras, and India Post’s tracked service to 135 destinations to support MSME and first-time exporters.
