- Authorities say a chunk of snow or ice fell off a semi-truck and pierced a work van’s windshield on the 9200 block of South Grant Highway around 12:51 p.m. Friday.
- The van, branded for ASAP Plumbing & HVAC, had a large hole in the shattered glass.
- Paramedics evaluated the driver at the scene and took him to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries.
- The semi-truck driver did not remain at the scene, and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
