Gujarat Plans Biggest Bhavnath Mahashivratri Fair With New Procession, 2,900 Police
Expanded measures aim to ease pilgrim movement for the five-day event.

- A Jan 30 review led by Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi set plans for the Feb 11–15 fair at Bhavnath near Junagadh.
- A first-ever grand city procession on February 11 will welcome sadhus and sants into the city.
- The Naga sadhus’ Ravedi route extends from 1.5 km to 2 km to ease congestion and widen public access.
- Security scales up to more than 2,900 police from the usual 1,600 with continuous CCTV across the fair zone.
- Services expand with 1,000+ youth volunteers, over 300 groups providing lodging and prasad, parking and dormitories, clean water and toilets, themed decorations, selfie points, information centres and live streaming of the Shahi Snan.
