Overview
- Presenters now see an option to include device audio when sharing a window or their entire screen, letting attendees hear all computer sound.
- Availability starts today for Rapid Release domains, with Scheduled Release domains set to receive the feature beginning January 13, 2026.
- The feature requires Chrome version 142 or later and currently supports macOS 14.02 or newer and Windows 11.
- On macOS, first-time use prompts an OS permission request, and the audio option must be toggled on for each presentation.
- Google notes that users with adaptive or merged audio setups may still be limited to sharing audio from Chrome tabs only during this rollout.
