Overview
- Edmondson was reported missing in February 1998, and authorities have now confirmed the remains found belong to him.
- Teenagers discovered the remains on Oct. 22, 2000 near Burro Road and Verde Drive in Golden Valley, where dental records at the time produced no match.
- Mohave County’s Special Investigations Unit reopened the cold case in January 2022 and obtained familial DNA samples submitted through NamUs.
- Investigators were told the recovered DNA was degraded, which prevented automated matching and required a manual comparison to confirm identity.
