- Italian screen legend Franco Nero was awarded the 2,835th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday in the Motion Pictures category.
- Julian Schnabel and Filming Italy Los Angeles executive Tiziana Rocco joined the ceremony, followed by a lifetime achievement gala at the DGA Theatre.
- The Filming Italy — Los Angeles festival runs Feb. 10–14 with tributes and retrospective screenings celebrating Nero’s body of work.
- Nero’s career spans more than 200 films over six decades, highlighted by his 1966 breakout in Sergio Corbucci’s Django and a later cameo in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained.
- He has also directed films, most recently The Man Who Drew God in 2022, and he remains closely linked personally and professionally with Vanessa Redgrave.
