Colorado Springs Police Release Body-Cam Briefings on Two Recent Shootings
External investigations will determine whether officers’ use of force complied with Colorado law.

- On Jan. 31, police say Micaela Pasillas fled after displaying a knife, entered a patrol car and reached for a shotgun, and an officer then fired through the passenger window.
- Officers rendered aid, Pasillas was hospitalized then discharged and taken into custody on a felony menacing allegation; no officers were injured in that incident.
- On Feb. 2, police say Michael Foster shot Officer Dan Mork before being shot by Mork, and Officer Steven Mibert fired again after Foster allegedly reached for his gun.
- CSPD says a loaded stolen handgun was recovered, Foster had outstanding felony warrants and remains in critical but stable condition, Officer Mork has been released from the hospital, and EPSO is investigating both shootings for referral to the Fourth Judicial District Attorney.
