- Niece Motorsports announced on Feb. 5 that Garrett Mitchell (Cleetus McFarland) will attempt the Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona, contingent on NASCAR approval following a Feb. 10 test at Rockingham Speedway.
- McFarland is slated to drive a Black Rifle Coffee–sponsored Chevrolet for Niece, with most outlets listing the truck as No. 4 while one report cites No. 5.
- He will be teammates with Travis Pastrana, who will drive Niece’s No. 42, with reporting also indicating Ricky Stenhouse Jr. as part of the team’s Daytona lineup.
- The Daytona effort will feature a multi-episode behind-the-scenes series on Pastrana’s Channel 199, with special one-race liveries to be revealed before the event.
