- The recall covers 456,287 vehicles plus 2,871 separately sold Mopar trailer tow modules, according to NHTSA filings.
- An improperly designed trailer tow module can keep trailer lights from illuminating and may disable trailer brakes, raising crash risk.
- Affected models include 2025–2026 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500 variants, the 2024–2026 Jeep Wagoneer S, and the 2026 Jeep Cherokee.
- Dealers will replace installed modules at no charge and will repurchase uninstalled Mopar units as the remedy.
