Chicago Police Warn of Dating-App Robber in Grand Crossing

Overview

• Police issued an alert after at least two armed robberies in the 6600-block of South Blackstone Avenue in the Grand Crossing neighborhood.
• The most recent robbery happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, with another reported on Feb. 5 just before 1 p.m.
• Victims met the suspect through a dating app, the suspect displayed a gun, and property was taken after victims complied.
• The suspect is described as about 22 years old, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall, 165 to 190 pounds, wearing a black jacket and black pants.
