Cardinals Break Ground on North Phoenix HQ and Performance Center

The project replaces the team’s poorly rated Tempe complex to improve player services by 2028.

Overview

  • The team held a Feb. 19 groundbreaking at Paradise Ridge in north Phoenix, with city and state officials, several players and Phoenix mayor Kate Gallego in attendance.
  • The football campus will occupy 30 acres and more than 250,000 square feet on a 217-acre property purchased for $136 million near Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road.
  • Plans call for three natural‑grass practice fields, a full‑size indoor turf fieldhouse, an expanded locker room, and upgraded training, sports medicine, dining and meeting spaces plus a player lounge.
  • The complex is slated to open in time for the 2028 preseason and will also house the team’s business operations.
  • About 187 remaining acres are designated for mixed‑use development, and local reports differ on the facility’s price tag, citing roughly $100 million or $200 million.
