- Police say the collision occurred at 9:19 p.m. Saturday at Washington Boulevard and Damen Avenue on Chicago’s Near West Side.
- The CTA bus was traveling south on Damen when a white sedan turning from Washington allegedly ran a red light and struck it.
- After the impact, the bus hit an apartment building, and officials reported minor property damage.
- The 32-year-old driver, a 59-year-old bus passenger, and an 11-month-old girl were taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition with minor injuries.
- Officers issued the sedan driver a citation, and the incident follows other recent CTA bus-involved crashes in Chicago, including a Feb. 8 fatal rear-end collision and a Feb. 13 crash with a CPD squad car.
