Overview
- James L. Vos, 88, of Burlington, was pronounced dead at the scene after first responders attempted life-saving measures.
- Police say he was crossing from a private parking lot near North Main and East Main around 5:14–5:15 a.m. when a southbound vehicle struck him.
- The driver, a 41-year-old Burlington woman, remained on scene and was uninjured, according to investigators.
- No criminal charges have been filed at this time as the investigation proceeds.
