Borussia Dortmund announced on January 22, 2026 that Duranville will spend a loan spell at FC Basel.
Sporting director Sebastian Kehl said injuries curtailed his progress at Dortmund and that the loan is designed to provide consistent first-team action.
Duranville arrived from RSC Anderlecht in January 2023 and was immediately integrated into Dortmund's first-team squad.
He debuted in the Bundesliga at 17 against Mainz in May 2023 and has since made 15 league appearances, nine in the Champions League, plus a DFB-Pokal goal versus Phönix Lübeck.
The 19-year-old has two senior caps for Belgium since debuting in September 2024, and Dortmund maintains confidence in his long-term potential.
