Bicyclist Killed in Santa Maria Hit-and-Run as Police Search for Vehicle

Police say the rider was in the southbound bike lane when a vehicle traveling the same direction struck him.

Overview

The collision occurred around 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 22 at Blosser Road and Bunny Avenue in Santa Maria.
Responding officers found a deceased adult male on the west side of Blosser Road.
Investigators have not located the involved vehicle and are treating the case as a hit-and-run.
The victim is believed to be in his 50s, with identification pending notification of next of kin.
