Bentley Launches Continental GT S and GTC S With Hybrid V8 and Performance Active Chassis

The new mid-tier variants use the 680 PS plug-in V8 plus Performance Active Chassis to create a more driver-focused option between the base GT and the Speed.

Overview

  • Both S models pair a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with a plug-in hybrid system for 671 hp (680 PS) and 686 lb-ft (930 Nm), driving all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
  • Bentley quotes 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds (0–100 km/h in 3.5 seconds), a 190 mph top speed, and up to 50 miles (80 km) of electric-only range.
  • Standard Bentley Performance Active Chassis brings twin-valve dampers, torque‑vectoring all‑wheel drive, a 48V active anti‑roll system, an electronic limited‑slip differential, and all‑wheel steering.
  • A new Dynamic mode enables controlled rear movement, the ESC can be fully disabled for track use, and a sports exhaust accentuates the V8’s crossplane beat.
  • Blackline exterior detailing, 22‑inch wheels, and a unique two‑tone Dinamica‑trimmed interior distinguish the S; pricing is unannounced, with reports placing it between the base Continental and the GT Speed and availability yet to be confirmed for both coupe and convertible.
