Bentley Debuts Rugged Bentayga X Concept at FAT Ice Race

Bentley uses the concept to gather buyer feedback before deciding on production.

Overview

  • The concept is based on the Bentayga Speed and retains a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with roughly 641 hp, permanent all-wheel drive, an eight-speed transmission, air suspension and a 48‑volt active anti-roll system.
  • Chassis changes include a 120 mm wider track and a 55 mm ride-height increase, delivering just under 310 mm of ground clearance and a wading depth of more than 550 mm.
  • Off-road equipment features forged 22-inch Brixton wheels with chunky tires, wheelarches widened by 40 mm, twin front towing eyes and an Akrapovič titanium exhaust.
  • Expedition cues include a roof rack with four auxiliary spotlights and an electric go-kart on top, and the reveal launches a new collaboration with FAT International with further appearances planned in Big Sky and at FAT Mankei.
  • Coverage notes the vehicle remains a testbed rather than a confirmed model, and its published wading figure falls short of dedicated off-roaders such as the Mercedes G-Class and Land Rover Defender.
