Benjamin School Celebrates Second 1A Golf Title in Three Years With Ring Ceremony

The celebration highlighted a college-bound roster guided by veteran coach Toby Harbeck.

Overview

  • The Benjamin School hosted a Feb. 24 ring ceremony on its Palm Beach Gardens campus to honor the 2026 FHSAA Class 1A boys golf champions.
  • Junior Charlie Woods attended with parents Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren after playing the No. 1 line and posting the team’s best final round at state.
  • Woods verbally committed to Florida State earlier in February, joining a lineup featuring SMU commits Andrew Tsar and Brooks Colton plus freshman Clint Lewis and senior Maurice Hoben.
  • Tsar finished state runner-up, and both he and Woods previously helped Benjamin win the 2023 title after the program placed runner-up in 2024.
  • Harbeck notched his fifth state crown in 42 years leading the program, and he said this season’s team score was the second lowest in state history.
