Arizona Cardinals Hire Former Texas DC Pete Kwiatkowski as Defensive Line Coach

The long-time college coordinator enters the NFL for the first time after leading a top-15 run defense at Texas.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported the hire Wednesday, confirming Kwiatkowski’s first coaching role in the NFL.
He replaces Winston DeLattiboudere, who left after one season to become Michigan State’s defensive line coach, following Derrick LeBlanc’s two-year tenure.
Kwiatkowski was a 2024 Broyles Award finalist as Texas ranked third nationally in scoring and total defense and led the FBS in interceptions.
His résumé includes coordinator stops at Boise State (2010–13), Washington (2014–20) and Texas (2021–25) after a prior defensive line coaching stint at Boise State (2006–09).
He previously coached at Washington during Cardinals safety Budda Baker’s college career, adding seasoned college experience to a young Arizona staff.
